Iomega Jaz FireWire Adapter Now Shipping

ROY, Utah, December 21, 2000 - Iomega Corporation (NYSE: IOM), a global leader in data management solutions, today announced that its new FireWire® (IEEE 1394) adapter for Jaz® 1GB and 2GB drives is now shipping domestically. European shipments of the new FireWire adapter are expected to commence in January 2001.

The Jaz® FireWire® adapter makes the Jaz drive hot-swappable, allowing users to connect and use the drive without turning off and rebooting their computer. It is compatible with Power Macintosh® G3/G4 or iMacTM DV with a FireWire controller running Mac® OS 8.6-9.x., and with Windows® 98SE, Windows Me, and Windows 2000 PCs with a FireWire controller.

The Jaz® FireWire adapter is available for $99.95 (U.S. estimated retail price) through major distributors and resellers and from Iomega at www.iomegadirect.com. A promotional bundle consisting of the Jaz 2GB drive and a free FireWire adapter is expected in the U.S. market in early January for $349.95 (U.S. MSRP).
