FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Iomega Quik Sync 2 Software To Ship with IBM MicrodriveTM Worldwide

ROY, Utah, November 6, 2000 - Iomega Corporation (NYSE:IOM), a global leader in data management solutions, and IBM Corporation (NYSE:IBM) have agreed to include Iomega(r) Quik Sync 2 software with IBM's Microdrive(tm) miniaturized hard disk technology worldwide.

Iomega(r) Quik Sync 2 software will provide IBM's Microdrive(tm) customers with automatic on-the-fly file backup to protect important data from virus attacks and system malfunctions. Users can also set Iomega Quik Sync 2 software to store multiple file revisions, allowing them to recover earlier versions of important files even if the current version has been changed or damaged.

"This agreement with IBM expands Iomega's market reach and validates Iomega Quik Sync 2 software as a premier solution for mobile users," said Germaine Ward, vice president of software and e-business solutions, Iomega Corporation. "Protecting critical data from viruses, hackers and system crashes is too important to leave to occasional manual backups. Quik Sync 2 transparently protects important data, making it a key addition for IBM's Microdrive customers."

Also included in the software deal is Iomega(r) Photo Printer software, an easy-to-use photo viewing and printing package. With Photo Printer, users can arrange images from a slide table onto the page to make the best use of expensive photo paper.

"This Microdrive/Quik Sync 2 partnership will provide reliable, industry-leading storage technology to mobile offices around the world," said Bill Healy, vice president of IBM Storage Technology. "Packaging IBM's Microdrive with Iomega's Photo Printer software further demonstrates the versatile applications of our tiny hard disk drive."
