ROY, Utah, October 16, 2000 - Iomega Corporation (NYSE:IOM), a global leader in data management solutions, announced today Bruce Albertson, president and CEO, has been elected to the Ogden•Weber Chamber Board of Directors.

Albertson's term of service will begin January 1, 2001 and continue through December 31, 2003.

Albertson joined Iomega in November 1999 as president, chief operating officer (COO) and director and became CEO on January 20, 2000. Prior to coming to Iomega, Albertson spent more than 25 years at General Electric Company (GE) as a senior executive in worldwide marketing and product management. As president and CEO of Iomega, Albertson is leading the company's expansion in the U.S. and worldwide markets as well as directing development of Iomega's hardware and software products.
