Iomega Makes Adweek"Best Spots" List With New Advertising

ROY, Utah, November 27, 2000 - Iomega Corporation (NYSE: IOM), a global leader in data management solutions, was recently honored in Adweek magazine's "Best Spots" list for October, a selection of the top twenty commercials appearing on American broadcast and cable television.

The November 13th issue of Adweek singles out the Iomega "pool" commercial, a 30-second spot highlighting the Zip(r) drive as the essential tool for protecting important files from viruses. In the ad, a large man floats in an aboveground pool. "This is Fred," states the voiceover. "Let's pretend Fred is a file on your computer-he's a thesis you've worked on for two years." An octopus rises from the depths and attacks Fred. "A computer virus has struck! There goes Fred." Fred disappears. He then instantly reappears in the empty pool, "thanks to a backup copy of Fred you saved on an Iomega Zip disk."

Iomega's agency for the ad, which is one of five commercials in Iomega's new ad campaign, is Publicis & Hal Riney. The Iomega spots are currently running on national television.
